353. The bailiff of said Orphans' Court shall receive five
dollars a day for each day's attendance upon said court.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 183.
AN ACT to repeal Sections one, two and three of Chapter
five hundred and forty-eight of the Acts of eighteen hundred
and ninety-four, entitled an Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Caroline and Talbot Counties to appro-
priate sums of money for the purpose of maintaining and
keeping in safe repair and condition for public travel Dover
Bridge and causeways leading thereto, connecting Talbot
and Caroline Counties, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections one, two and three of Chapter five hun-
dred and forty-eight of the Acts of eighteen hundred and
ninety-four, entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Caroline and Talbot Counties to appropriate
sums of money for the purpose of maintaining and keeping
in safe repair and condition for public travel Dover Bridge
and causeways leading thereto, connecting Talbot and Car-
oline Counties, be and the same are hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as follows:

Talbot Co,

1. That the County Commissioners of Caroline and Talbot
Counties, a majority of each board concurring, shall have full
power and authority to construct, maintain and keep in safe
repair a draw-bridge over the Choptank river, between Caro-
line and Talbot Counties, at the place known as Dover Bridge,
with the opening in the draw at least sixty feet wide; and
said County Commissioners of Caroline and Talbot Counties,
a majority of each board concurring, shall have full power
and authority to make reasonable rules and regulations for
the use of said bridge, known as Dover Bridge by the public,
and for the protection of said bridge and other property
belonging thereto or therewith, and to enforce the observance
of said rules and regulations by imposing upon any person
or persons violating the same any reasonable fine, not exceed-
ing ten dollars, for any violation thereof, which fines shall be
