LAWS OF MARYLAND.

officers and affairs of said company may be subject to an
examination by such court or other officers, and it shall be
lawful for said company to stipulate for indemnity from the
parties so guaranteed, and to enforce any contract made with
them for that purpose, and this corporation shall be subject at
all times to the provisions of Chapters 109 and 279 of the
Acts of eighteen hundred and ninety-two and any amend-
ments or supplements thereof.

SEC. 14. And be it enacted, That the directors of said com-
pany shall have power to adopt all necessary rules and by-
laws for the management of the business of said company,
not contrary to law, and that the General Assembly hereby
reserves the right to amend or repeal this Act at its pleasure.

SEC. 15. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 182.
AN ACT to repeal Sections three hundred and fifty-two and
three hundred and fifty-three of Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title,
"Courts," sub-division, "Orphans' Court," as repealed and
re-enacted by Chapter one hundred and twenty-three of the
Acts of eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, and to re-enact
the said sections with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
and, That Sections three hundred and fifty-two and three
hundred and fifty-three of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title, "Courts," sub-
division, "Orphans' Court," as repealed and re-enacted by
Chapter one hundred and twenty-three of the Acts of eighteen
hundred and ninety-eight, be and the same are hereby repealed
and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

Per diem
of judges.

352. The judges of the Orphans' Court of Baltimore City
shall receive nine dollars for every day's attendance upon the
sessions of said Court, to be paid by the City of Baltimore,
monthly, and the sessions of said Court shall continue from
eleven A.M. until three P.M., if necessary, for the transaction
of the business of the court.
