LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Authorized
to construct
draw on
bridge.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County be and they are hereby authorized and required forth-
with to cause a good and substantial draw to be constructed
on the bridge now built across Long Cove, a branch of Curtis
Bay, in Anne Arundel County, constructed by virtue of the
Act of Assembly of eighteen hundred and ninety-eight,
Chapter eighty-eight, and they are hereby authorized to do
all such acts as may be necessary for the construction and
completion of such a draw of a suitable width as will meet
the requirements of the navigation laws of the United States.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said County Commis-
sioners before entering into any contract for the construction
of said draw shall advertise daily for two successive weeks in
some daily newspaper published in Baltimore City, and shall
award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder or bid-
ders, who shall be required to give bond for the faithful per-
formance of the contract.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the cost of the construction
of said draw, finished and fit for use and travel, shall not
exceed the sum of thirty-five hundred dollars ($3,500), and
that said County Commissioners are hereby authorized to
levy and collect on the assessable property of Anne Arundel
County a sum not exceeding the amount of thirty-five hun-
dred dollars for the construction of said draw, to be levied
for at their next levy for taxes.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to amend Chapter three hundred and seventy -four,
of the Acts of eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, of the
General Assembly of Maryland, entitled "An Act to incor-
porate the Citizens' Trust and Deposit Company of Balti-
more."

land, That Section two, of Chapter three hundred and seventy-
four, of the Acts of eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, of the

the Citizens' Trust and Deposit Company of Baltimore," be
