SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the limits of said town shall
be as follows: Beginning at a cucumber tree standing on the
north side of Potomat Train Road; thence N. 28 1/2°, E. 500
feet to an Oak tree; thence N. 10°, E. 300 feet to hickory tree;
thence N. 20°, E. 530 feet to oak tree; thence N. 28 1/2°,
E. 436 feet to beech tree; thence N 2 1/2°, E. 250 feet to thorn
bush; thence N. 28 1/2°, E. 1,044 feet to leaning oak tree; thence
N. 39°, E. 857 feet to telegraph pole; thence N. 60°, W. 270
feet to oak tree ; thence S. 70°, W. 1,150 feet to sugar tree;
thence S. 87 3/4°, W. 500 feet to locust, tree; thence N. 59°,
W. 256 feet to post; thence S. 25°, W. 686 feet to a post;
thence S. 27°, W. 476 feet to locust tree, thence S. 3°, W.
750 feet to corner of Footeu's stable; thence S. 25 1/2°. W. 494
feet to an oak tree; thence S. 17°, E i,ooo feet to a post near
Potomac dump; thence S. 78°, E. 775 feet to the beginning at
the cucumber tree, and the property within said lines shall
be subject to such taxes and, charges as maybe deemed neces-
sary by said Commissioners, or a majority of them, to support
and maintain the expenses which may at any time be incurred
in the government and improvement of said town.

Corporate
limits-

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the male citizens of Bar-
ton aforesaid of the age of twenty-one years and upwards,
being citizens of the United States who have resided in said '
town for and during the space of six mouths next preceding
the second Monday in April in each and every year, at the
usual place of holding county elections, in said town or at
such place as shall be designated by the Commissions of Bar-
ton, are authorized to elect five commissioners for the said
town, who shall be owners of real estate or regular taxpayers
in the town, who shall have resided within the limits of the
same two years next preceding the election, also a clerk and
a bailiff, each of whom shall have resided in the town two
years next preceding the election. The commissioners elected

under this Act shall serve for one and two years, or until their
successors are elected and qualified, and it is herein provided
that the two commissioners receiving the highest number of
votes at the first election shall serve two years, and the three
receiving the lowest number of votes shall serve one year; and
at each succeeding election two commissioners shall be elected
to serve two years, as above provided. The clerk and bailiff
to be elected under the provisions of this Act shall, after they
have qualified, hold their offices or serve for one year, or until
their successors are elected and qualified.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the commissioners, the
clerk and the bailiff elected under the provisions of this Act
