LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAPTER 720.
AN ACT to provide for the placing of an Oil Portrait Picture
of Henrietta Maria, after whom this State was named, in
the Hall of the House of Delegates, and to appropriate a
sum of money therefor.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sum of six hundred dollars, or so much thereof
as may be necessary, be and the same is hereby appropriated
out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated,
for the purpose of having painted, framed and placed in the
hall of the House of Delegates an oil portrait picture of Hen-
rietta Maria, the wife of Charles I., for whom the colony of
Maryland was named.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Board of Public Works
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to take all
needful steps and do all lawful acts and carry out the pro-
vision of this Act.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the Comptroller of
the Treasury be and he is hereby authorized and directed to
draw his warrant upon the treasury, payable to the order of
the Board of Public Works, for such sum within the amount
so hereby appropriated as shall be required by the draft or
order of said Board of Public Works for the purpose of carrying
out the purposes of this Act.

report.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the said Board of Public
Works shall make full report and account to the treasury to
be submitted to the next General Assembly, of and carrying
their proceedings and expenditures in the treasury.

CHAPTER 722.
AN ACT to authorize and empower Harvey H. Conway to
construct in front of his property, in the town of Cambridge,
Dorchester County, a wharf, or shell walk, extending out
into the Great Choptank River.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary.
land. That Harvey H. Conway, of the town of Cambridge, in
Dorchester County, be and he is hereby authorized and em-
powered to construct and erect a wharf, or shell walk, at and
adjoining the land of the said Harvey H. Conway, at the foot
of Choptank avenue (on the northwestward side thereof), in
