LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAPTER 698.
AN ACT to amend the Charter of the Baltimore Mutual Aid
Society, of Baltimore City, a corporation incorporated under
the General Laws of this State, and the Charter of which
was amended by the Act of the General Assembly at the
Session of eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, Chapter
sixty-one, by changing the corporate name of said corpora-
tion to "The Baltimore Life Insurance Company of Balti-
more City."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the name of "The Baltimore Mutual Aid Society
of Baltimore City," a corporation incorporated under the
General Laws of this State March twenty-seventh, eighteen
hundred and eighty-two, and the Charter of which was
amended by the Act of the General Assembly of Maryland at
the Session of eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, Chapter
sixty-one, and the same is hereby changed to ''The Baltimore
Life Insurance Company of Baltimore City," and by such
last-mentioned name said body corporate shall have, possess
and enjoy all the rights, privileges, powers and franchises
hitherto possessed by "The Baltimore Mutual Aid Society of
Baltimore City," and shall be subject to all its liabilities.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 10, 1900.

CHAPTER 699.

AN ACT to amend Article 10 of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in Eact," by
adding a new section to said Article, to follow after Section
sixteen, and to be known as Section i6A.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and the same is hereby added to
Article 10 of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Attor-
neys at Law and Attorneys in Fact," to follow after Section
sixteen, and to be known as Section i6A.

i6A. Any person who shall exact, extort, demand, take,
accept or receive from any person whatsoever any fee, gratuity,
gift or reward for his advice or services as an attorney at law,
