185C. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons not a
bona fide resident of Vienna election district, in Dorchester
County, to use any patent twine weir, or other twine weir,
pound net, fyke stick, weir stick, net, or hauling seine, for
the purpose of taking or catching fish, terrapins or turtles in
that part of Chicacomies River and' the waters flowing into it,
which runs and flows inside the lines of the said Vienna dis-
trict. It shall also be unlawful for the bona fide residents of
the said Vienna district to obstruct and occupy with any net,
weir or fyke, more than one-half the width of the said part of

any person who shall violate any provision of this section
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
before a justice of the peace shall be fined not less than five

of the justice of the peace before whom the same may be tried,
and shall be committed to the county jail until the fine and
costs are paid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 692.
AN ACT to refund to William Wood Cook certain money
paid by him to the Comptroller through Charles Lake,
Clerk of the Circuit Court for Dorchester County, in the
year 1895, for oyster packers' license.

Penalty for
violation.

WHEREAS, William Wood Cook on the twenty-third day
of December, 1895, paid Charles Lake, Clerk of the Circuit
Court of Dorchester County, the sum of twenty-three dollars
