company hereby incorporated.
SEC. 11. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 684.
AN ACT to appropriate the sum of two hundred dollars to
King Bros, to pay them for extra printing done by them for
the General Assembly at the Session of eighteen hundred
and ninety-eight, and not included in their contract as
State Printers.

WHEREAS, at the Session of eighteen hundred and ninety-
eight King Bros., State Printers, were called on to reprint and
did reprint a large number of extra pages of the Journal of
the House of Delegates, in order to correct a number of cleri-
cal errors made in the manuscript furnished to them to be
printed as said Journal, without the correction of which said
clerical errors it was believed that the validity of many bills
would become doubtful; and

WHEREAS, The said King Bros. agreed to reprint and did
reprint the same upon the express understanding that the
cost thereof should be made by them as a proper claim against
the State, to be presented at the Session of nineteen hundred,
and for which reprinting a certificate for the cost thereof, to
wit : the sum of two hundred dollars was given to said King
Bros, by the Speaker and the Chief Clerk of the House of
Delegates; now therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sum of two hundred dollars be and the same
is hereby appropriated out of any moneys in the Treasury,
not otherwise appropriated, to the payment of the said King
Bros, of their said claim for reprinting portions of the Journal
of the House of Delegates at the Session of eighteen hundred
and ninety-eight, and the Comptroller be and he is hereby
directed to draw his warrant upon the Treasurer in favor of
said King Bros, for the said sum of two hundred dollars for
payment of their said bill.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
