CHAPTER 670.

Cumberland.

AN ACT for the relief of the Home and Infirmary of Western
Maryland, in Cumberland, and for the purpose of erecting a
building on the grounds of the said home.

Appropriation.
Home and
Infirmary of
Western Md.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sum of five thousand dollars be and the same
is hereby appropriated to the Home and Infirmary of Western
Maryland, in the City of Cumberland, of which the sum of
four thousand dollars is to be expended and used in the con-
struction of an operating room or building for the purpose of
surgical or other operations in connection with the said insti-
tution, and the remaining one thousand dollars shall be
applied to the debt now due and owing by said institution.

To Board of
Directors.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Comptroller of the
Treasury is hereby authorized and directed to issue his war-
rant to the Board of Directors of the Home and Infirmary of
Western Maryland, in the City of Cumberland, for the said sum
of five thousand dollars out of any money in the Treasury not
otherwise appropriated.

CHAPTER 671.

Calvert Co.
Clerk.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
forty -three of Article 5, of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Calvert County," sub-title "Clerk," and
to re-enact the same with amendments.

Library of
Circuit Court.
How kept.

43. All books belonging to the library of the Circuit Court
for Calvert County shall be securely kept by the Library Com-
mittee of the Circuit Court for said county in a suitable room
provided for the purpose, under the directions of the judges
of the court, and not to be allowed to be taken out of the said
room, except by direction of the committee or one of the
judges of the court, when required by them for use or for the
use of the members of the bar.

SECTION 1. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
