SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of the
Mayor and Councilmen to furnish the collector with books
for keeping his accounts in, shall furnish him with a list of
all taxes, water rents and assessments which books he shall
return to the Mayor and Councilmen when he shall have com-
pleted the duties of his office and when he shall have paid
over to the Treasurer of the said Town all money that was
his duty to collect, then the said Mayor and Councilmen shall
return to him his bond. In case of default of any tax col-
lector suit may be brought against his bondsmen within five
years from the expiration of his term of office.

SEC. 4. Be it enacted, That if the tax collector shall neglect
to report as required by the aforegoing section he may be called
before the Mayor and Councilmen and by them fined the
sum of ten dollars, which fine may be deducted from his
salary or collected as other fines are.

SEC. 5. Be it enacted, That before the tax collector shall
enter upon his duties he shall take and subscribe to the fol-
lowing oath, before the Mayor, I ———— having been elected
tax collector by the Mayor and Councilmen of the town of
Frostburg, in the presence of Almighty God, do solemnly
promise and declare that I will faithfully perform the duty of
tax collector and will collect all taxes, water rents and assess-
ments according to law without fear, favor, or partiality.

SEC. 6. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 640.
AN ACT to confirm and enlarge the powers and authority of
"The Municipal Art Society of Baltimore City," a corpora-
tion duly incorporated under the provisions of Article 23,
of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland.

Shall make
oath.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the powers and authority of "The Municipal Art
Society of Baltimore City," a corporation duly incorporated
under the provisions of Article 23, of the Code of Public
General Laws of Maryland, are hereby confirmed and enlarged
as hereinafter provided.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the members of the
said "The Municipal Art Society of Baltimore City," be and
they are hereby empowered to elect such number of trustees,
