sections to chapter 25, of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, passed at the January session, 1898,
known as the ‘Amended Charter of the Town of Oak-
land,' granting to the Mayor and Town Council of Oak-
land, additional powers to operate an electric light plant,
or to rontract for the operation of the same, and to grant
franchises to corporations or individuals within the cor-
porate limits of the town of Oakland, and to be known
as ‘Sections 196 A, 196 B and 196 0."

and consent of the General Assembly of Maryland, to the
several deeds made by Samuel Appold and wife, Gabriel

of Baltimore, a corporation duly incorporated under the
laws of the State of Maryland, and also to the acquisition
hereafter by the said grantee of the fee-simple title to
any lot of ground mentioned in said deeds in whiich it
has thereby acquired less than a fee-simple, and to the
selling, mortgaging, leasing or other disposttion thereof."
