On motion of Mr. Orothers, it was
Ordered, That W. Meade Holladay be allowed thir-
teen days per diem of $10 per day, as acting Journal
Clerk of the Senate of the present session.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Finance.
On motion of Mr. Putze], it was
Ordered, That Senators Dick, Baker, Marsh, Dennis and
Beasman be excused from attendance upon tonight's
session.
On motion of Mr. Putzel, it was
Ordered, That the Secretary of the Senate be instruct-
ed to request the State printer to print bills more
promptly.
Which was adopted.

A bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 796, of Article
4, Public Local Laws, entitled ‘City of Baltimore,' sub-
title ‘Street Railway Fares,' as amended and re-enacted
by chapter 123, of the Acts of 1898, and re-enact the
same with amendments."

Bryan, Moses and Putzel.
By Mr. Bryan,
A bill entitled "An Act to provide for the payment to
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore of all money
received for licenses by the Clerk of the Court of Com-
mon Pleas in the city of Baltimore."
Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Finance.
By Mr. Bouic,
A bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 205, of Article
16, of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland,
title ‘Chancery,' as amended by the Act of 1892, chapter
241, and to re-enact the same with amendments, and to
add an additional section to said Article, to be numbered
‘205 A.'"
