voters of any county, election district of a county, city,
ward of a city, or any incorporated town, where liquors
are sold by law, to determine by election whether or
not fermented, spirituous or intoxicating liquors shall be
sold in such county, election district of a county, city,
ward of a city, or incorporated town of this State."
And the unfavorable report by the Committee on
Temperance upon said bill,
Was adopted.


BILLS—THIRD READING.
Senate bill No. 164, entitled "An Act to regulate the
practice of medicine and surgery, to create State boards
of medical examiners, and to regulate the fees and emol-
uments thereof, to prevent the practice of medicine and
surgery by unauthorized persons and to provide for the
trial and punishment of violators of the provisions of
this Act by a fine or imprisonment, or both, and to re-
peal and re-enact with additions and amendments, sec-
tions 39, 40, 41, 45, 49, 53, 56, 58 and 59, of Article 43, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title ‘Health,' sub-title
Practitioners of Medicine,' and to repeal all laws or parts
of laws in conflict or inconsistent with this Act, and to
add additional sections thereto, to be designated as ‘Sec-
tions 39, 40, 41, 45, 53, 56, 58 and 59.'"
Being on its third reading,
Pending further consideration of which,
Mr. Williams, of Harford, moved that said bill be made
the Special Order of the Day for Thursday, March 22d
at 2 P. M.
