Sec. 9. It shall be the duty of the proprietor or man-
ager of every store at the request of the clerk or clerks
authorized to issue the license to furnish such clerk or
clerks with a statement in writing under oath, setting
forth the amoufit of the different classes of goods, wares
and merchandise which are kept and had for sale in such
store during the principal seasons of sale.
Sec. 10. All Acts and parts of Acts inconsistent with
the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.
Sec. 11. There being no law now existing on the sub-
ject provided for in this Act, although the necessity
therefor has long existed, creates an emergency within
the meaning of the Constitution, therefore this Act shall
take effect and be in force from and after its passage."

The Senate reconsidered its action by. which
Senate bill No. 245, entitled "An Act to repeal sections
10 A, 42, and to repeal and re-enact with amendments
sections 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 15, 19, 22, 34, 36, 40, 57,
58, 59, 60, 62, 63, 66 and 67 of Article 72 of the Code of
Public General Laws, title ‘Oysters.'"
Was ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

By Mr. Applegarth,
In section 58, after the word "inspections," on line 4
of written bill insert as follows
"Namely, 8 from Somerset county, 7 from Wicomico
county, 12 from Dorchester county, 8 from Talbot county,
7 from Queen Anne's county, 6 from Kent county, 7 from
Anne Arundel county, 7 from Calvert county, 7 from St.
Mary's county, 6 from Charles county."
