REPORTS OF SELECT COMMITTEES.

Mr. Moses, from Select Committee, reported favor-
ably, with proposed amendments,
Senate bill entitled "An Act to add additional sections
to Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title ‘City of
Baltimore,' as repealed and re-enacted by chapter 123, of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, session
1898, sub-title ‘Miscellaneous Local Laws,' sub-title
Police Commissions,' sub-title ‘Special Fund,' to follow
section 776, and to be known as ‘Sections 776 A, 776 B,
776 C, 776 D, 776 E and 776 F.'"

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

On page 4 of the engrossed bill, in line 23, after the
word "and” strike out the words "or engrossed."
Also,
Amend on page 5, by striking out on line 10, every-
thing after the word "Baltimore” to the end of line 17.
Also,
Amend on page 16, on line 6. at the end thereof, by
adding the following: "Provided, however, that it shall
be optional with any member of said police force to con-
tribute the said two per centum of his salary, as above
prescribed, and participate in the benefits of the special
fund; and provided, further, that no member of said
