1900.] OF THE SENATE. 721 Mr. Bouic, from Select Committee, reported favorably, House bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 109, of Article 10, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title ‘Mont- gomery County,' sub-title ‘Hyattstown,' and to re-enact the same with amendments." Which was read the second time. Mr. Applegarth, from Select Committee, reported favorably, House bill entitled "An Act to authorize the County Commissioners of Dorchester county to borrow money upon the credit of the county for the purpose of con- structing a bridge across the northwest fork of the Nan- ticoke river, in said county, at a point called ‘Harrison's Ferry,' and placing a draw therein, to give their bonds or bills obligatory for the payment of the same, and to levy taxes on time assessable property of said county, to re deem said bonds or bills obligatory, and to pay the in- terest thereon." Which was read the second time. Also favorably, House bill entitled "An Act to add a new section to Article 25 of the Code of Public General Laws, title ‘County Commissioners,' sub-title ‘Draining Land,' in so far as the same applies to Dorchester county, to follow after section 49, and to be numbered ‘49 A.'" Which was read the second time. ORDER OF THE DAY. The hour having arrived the Senate considered the Order of the Day, being Senate bill No. 164, entitled "An Act to regulate the practice of medicine and surgery, to create State Boards of Medical Examiners, and to regulate the fees and emolu- ments thereof, to prevent the practice of medicine and surgery by unauthorized persons, and to provide for the trial and punishment of violators of the provisions of this Act by a fine or imprisonment, or both, and to repeal and re-enact, with additions and amendments, sections 39, 40, 41, 45, 49, 53, 56, 58 and 59, of Article 43, of the Code of Public General Laws, title ‘Health,' sub-title ‘Practitioners of Medicine,' and to repeal all laws or parts 46 |
