Senate bill No. 185, entitled "An Act to repeal and re-
enact with amendments, section 3 of chapter 296 of the
Acts of Assembly of Maryland, 1898, entitled ‘An Act to
provide for a State subscription to Perkins' Annotated
Maryland Reports."
Which was read the second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.
Also favorably,
Senate bill No. 220, entitled "An Act to appropriate
the sum of $21,440.56, and to refund the same to the ap-
propriation for the contingent and necessary expenses of
the Adjutant-General's Office, and for the maintenance,
equipment and discipline of the land forces of the militia
for the fiscal year endiiig September 30, 1900."
Which was rea.d the second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.
Also, favorably, with proposed amendments,
Senate bill entitled "An Act to pay Harry T. Levely
for work done in the office of the Land Commissioners
in indexing the ancient records of Charles county, now
in time Land Commissioners office."

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
In line 2 of section 1 of the original bill, strike out
the word "one thousand” and insert the words "five
hundred."
Also,
In same line strike out the figures "$1,000” and insert
"$500.00."

Also,
In same line strike out the figures "$83.33 1/3” and in-
sert in lieu thereof the figures "$41.66 2/3”

Also,
Line 5, of section 12, strike out the word eighty-three
and insert the words "forty-one."

Also,
In line of section 1, strike out the words "thirty-three
and one-third” and insert the words "sixty-six and two-
thirds."
