AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

In line 56, of the printed bill, after the word "officer,"
add the following:
"Provided, that in eases where the office or place is such
that no commissions or cel-tificates of election are re-
quired by law, then said original statement shall be filed
with the Secretary of State."
Also,
In lines 135 and 136 of printed bill, substitute the
word "admitted," for the word "submitted."
Also,
In line 139, after the word "Act” and before the word
"who” insert the following: "And every person who
shall at any time act as such treasurer."
Also,
In line 144, after the word "person” and before the
word "who” insert the following: "Who shall at any
time act as said treasurer."
Also,
In line 160, substitute the word "ten” for the word
"five."
Which proposed amendments were severally adopted.
FURTHER AMENDMENT PRoPosED.

By Mr. Wilkinson,
Strike out all after the words "a bill," and insert as
follows:
"Entitled an Act to amend section 3 of Article 1, of the
Constitution."
"Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That (three-fifths of all the members of the
two Houses concurring), the following section he and the
same is hereby proposed as an amendment to the Consti-
tution of this State, and if adopted by the legal and quali-
fied voters thereof as herein provided, it shall stand in
the place and stead of section 3 of Article 1 of said Con-
stitution.
3. "If any person shall give or offer to give, directly or
indirectly any bribe, present or reward, or any promise
or any security for the payment, or the delivery of
money, or any other thing to induce any voter to refrain
