1900.] OF THE SENATE. 641 Senate bill entitled "An Act to prevent persons from using the sidewalks, pavements or alleys of the 1st and 3rd precincts of the 5th Election District for bicycle rid- ing, and to require persons riding bicycles in said pre- cincts between a-half hour after sunset and a-half hour before sunrise, to have upon their bicycles a bell and a lighted lantern." Which was read the second time and ordered to be en- grossed for a third reading. Mr. Ravenscroft, froni Select Committee, reported fav- orably, with proposed amendment, Senate bill entitled "An Act to add new sections to Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title ‘Garrett County,' sub-title ‘Circuit Court,' to follow after section 108, and- to be designated ‘Sections 108 A, 108 B, 108 C and 108 L,' authorizing the appointment of a stenog- rapher clerk to time Grand Jury and defining his duties, obligations and pay." AMENDMENT PROPOSED. At the end of section 1 of bill add the following words: "Provided, however, that the amount of compensation and expenses of said stenographer clerk shall not exceed the annual sum of three hundred dollars." Which proposed amendment was adopted, and The bill was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. Mr. Peter, from Select Committee, reported favorably, House bill entitled "An Act to regulate the shooting of squirrels in Howard county." Which was read the second time. Also, favorably, House bill entitled "An Act to establish a new election district in Prince George's county by dividing District No. 2, or Bladensburg Election District, to be known as ‘Hyattsville and Bladensburg Election Districts,' respect- ively, Hyattsviile Election District to be known as amid. called No. 16,' and the other as ‘Bladensburg District, or ‘District No. 2.'"
