1900.] OF THE SENATE. 623 Mr. Bouic, from Select Committee, reported favor- ably, Senate bill entitled "An Act to authorize and direct the County Commissioners of Montgomery county to levy a sum of money to refund to the Gaithersburg Milling and Manufacturing Company of Montgomery county, certain sums of money erroneously paid by the said company to said County Commissioners for taxes for the years 1894, 1895 and 1896." Which was read the second time and ordered to be en- grossed for a third. ORDER OF THE DAY. The hour of 8.15 P. M, having arrived, The Senate considered the Order of the Day, being Senate bill No. 157, entitled "An Act to permit the United Railway and Electric Company of Baltimore to increase its board of directors from the present number, to-wit, nine unto eleven, and to provide that of such number two may be citizens and residents of States other than the State of Maryland." On motion of Mr. Putzel, Said bill was referred to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. Mr. Moore moved that the Senate reconsider its action by which said bill was referred to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. Which motion prevailed. Pending further consideration of which, On motion of President Hubner, Said bill was made the Special Order of the Day for Wednesday, March 14th, at 1. 30 P. M. SECOND ORDER OF THE DAY. The hour of 8.30 P. M. having arrived, The Senate considered tine Second Order of the Day, being Senate bill No. 199, entitled "An Act to incorporate the Maryland Automobile and Manufacturing Company." |
