commissioners for the promotion of Uniformity of Leg-
islation in the United States, and to authorize the ap-
pointment and continuance of commissioners thereunder."
Which was read the second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.
Also, favorably,
House bill entitled "An Act to make valid the sales
made and the deeds, devises and other instrument of
writing executed and delivered by trustee or trustees to
whom any estate, real, personal or mixed, shall have been
limited or conveyed for the benefit -of creditors, or to be
sold for any other purpose, when such trustee or trustees
have failed to comply with the requirements of section
205, of Article 16, of the Maryland Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, in giving bond with but one surety."
Which was read the second time.
Mr. Crothers, from the Committee on Finance, reported
favorably, with proposed amendments,
Senate bill No. 87, entitled "An Act to appropriate a
sum or money to pay the Frostburg Forum' and other
newspapers for publishing the Constitutional Amend-
ment and Governor's Proclamation."
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike out all after title of original bill and insert the
following:
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
that the Comptroller of the State be and he is hereby
authorized and directed tc draw his warrant upon the
Treasurer of the State in favor of
The Forum for $90; the Star for $90; the Review for
$90; the Free Press for $75; the Evening Times for 75;
the Independent for $59.50; the Courier for $75; the Min-
ing Journal for $90; the Daily News for $75; all pub-
lished in Allegany county.
The Record for $90; the Advertiser for $90; the Exam-
iner for $90; the Capital for $90; all published in Anne
Arundel county.
The Sun for $353.59; the American for $254.80; the
Herald for $318.50; the News for $94.60; the Journal for
$157.14; the Wecker for $106.25; the Afro-American for
$50; the Crusader for $99.84; all published in Baltimore
city.
