On motion of Mr. Moses, is was
Ordered, That Senate bill, Local File No. 270, intro-
duced by Mr. Moses, be referred to the Committee on
Corporations.
Which was adopted.


INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
By Mr. Wilkinson,
A bill entitled "An Act to appropriate a sum of money
for the construction of a new building for St. Mary's
Female Seminary."
Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.


REPORTS OF SELECT COMMITTEES.
President Hubner from Select Committee, reported
favorably,
House bill entitled "An Act to repeal the 44th section
of Article 3, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title ‘Baltimore County,' sub-title ‘County Treas-
urer,' and to re-enact the same with amendments."
Which was read the second time.
Also, favorably,
House bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments, section 222, of Article 3, of the Code of
Public Local Laws, entitled ‘Baltimore County,' sub-title
‘Sheriffs,' as amended by the Act of the General Assem-
bly. 1894, chapter 500."
Which was read the second time.


ORDER OF THE DAY.
The hour having arrived the Senate considered the
Order of the Day being,
House bill entitled "An Act to transfer to the Cherry
Hill, Elkton and Chesapeake City Railway Company of
Cecil county, the sum of $58,000, which by the Act of
General Assembly of Maryland of 1894, chapter 85, was
appropriated and transferred to the Elkton and Middle-
