AMENDMENTS PROPOSED. Amend by striking out the word "out," on line 1, of section 678, and inserting in lieu thereof, "sub-division of this Article.' Which proposed amendment was adopted, and The bill was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. Mr. Moses, from Select Committee, reported favor- ably, Senate bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to issue the stock of said corporation to an amount not exceeding $1,350,000 for the purpose of providing a public lighting plant to sup- piy light to said city, and to the inhabitants thereof, and to authorize the submission of an ordinance for that pur- pose to the legal voters of said city." Mr. Moses moved to suspend the Rules and put said bill upon its second reading.
