416 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS Feb. 26 Also, A petition from S. Weadwell and 9 others for a gen eral local option law. Also, A petition from John F. Crigler and 35 others for a general local option law. Which were severally read and referred to the Com- mittee on Temperance. ORDERS. On motion of President Hubuer, it was Ordered, That Senators Gray, Beasman and Bryan be excused from tonight's session. On motion of President Hubner, it was Ordered, That the sum of twelve dollars ($12) be paid the Baltimore Typewriter Exchange for rental of type- writer during the Legislative Session of 1900, and That 50 cents be paid John E. McCusker, to refund expressage paid on said typewriter by him. Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance. On motion of Mr. Peter, it was Ordered, That Frank H. Bentley, messenger to the Public Printer, be paid the sum of $2.50 additional per diem from January 3d, i900, so as to make his pay for the session $5.00 per day as heretofore paid the messen- ger to the Public Printer. Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance. Also, Ordered, That P. Cooper Wysham and George A. Taylor, pages of the Senate, be paid the sum of $2.50 additional, per diem, from January 3d, 1900, so as to make their pay for the session $5.00 per day, as hereto- fore paid pages of the Senate. Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance. |
