370 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 20 At 2.22 P. M. On motion of Mr. Putzel, The Senate took a recess until 8 P. M. NIGHT SESSION. TUESDAY, Feb. 20th, 1900. Senate resumed session at 8 P. M. Present at roll call the following Senators: Messrs. President, Baker, Bouic, Brewington, Crothers, Dennis, Dick, Dodson, Gray, Kirwan, Marsh, Messick, Moore, Moses, Peter, Putzel, Ravenscroft, Rohrback., Williams, of Harford, Williams, of Anne Arunndel—20. UNFINISHED BUSINESS. The Senate considered unfinished business being: BILLS—THIRD READING. Senate bill entitled "An Act to amend Article 11, of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title ‘Frederick County,' by inserting after section 37, under a new sub-title to be designated ‘Attorney's Fees,' cer- tain additional sections to be known as ‘37 A,' and 37 B,' providing for the appointment of assistant counsel in criminal and other State cases, and to defend in criminal cases, and regulating the compensation to be allowed by the County Commissioners of said county for such ser- vices.'
