1900. OF THE SENATE. 365 Mr. Moore from Committee on Corporations reported favorably, Senate bill No. 143, entitled "An Act to amend chapter 374, of the Acts of 1898, of the General Assembly of Maryland, entitled ‘An Acs to incorporate the Citizens' Trust and Deposit Company of Baltimore." Which was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. Also, favorably, Senate bill No. 54, entitled "An Act to grant additional corporate powers to the Fraternal Building, Loan and Investment Association of Baltimore city." AMENDMENTS PROPOSED. By Mr. Bryan, Amend by striking out the word "double” in last line of section 3, and the word "three” in 10th line of sec- tion 5. Which proposed amendment was adopted, and The bill was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. Also, favorably, Senate bill No. 138, entitled "An Act to incorporate The Finance Company of Maryland." AMENDMENT PROPOSED. After section 8, add an additional section to be known as ‘Section 9,' so as to read as follows: "And be it fur- ther enacted, that the General Assembly of Maryland, reserves the right to repeal, alter, change or amend this Act at its pleasure." Pending further consideration of which On motion of Mr. Putzel, Said bill with proposed amendment was made the Special Order of the Day for Friday, February 23rd, at 12.15 P. M. Also, favorably, with proposed amendment, Senate bill No. 119. entitled "An Act to amend the charter of the Rising Sun, North East and Elk River Electric Railway and Power Company, as incorporated. |
