On motion of Mr. Moses,
The Senate resumed Legislative business.


The Presidept distributed the following message from
the House of Delegates:
House bill No. 23, entitled "An Act to extend an Act en-
titled an Act to incorporate the New York Mining Com-
pany, passed at December session, 1844, chapter 220
and the supplement thereto, passed at December session,
1846, chapter 123, and the Act to alter and amend the
said original Act of incorporation and supplements
thereto, passed at January session, 1853, chapter 70, and
the Act to alter, amend and extend the said original Act
of incorporation and the supplements thereto, passed at
January session, 1874, chapter 110, for the period of
thirty years."

Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by yeas
and nays."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.

Also,

House bill entitled "An Act to provide for the division
of the Second Election precinct of the Ninth Election
district of Baltimore county into two Election Precincts,
to be known as ‘Precinct No. 2, and Precinct No. 5,' re-
spectively."

Endorsed: "Read the third time, and passed by yeas
and nays."

Which was read the first time, and referred to Sena-
tors Hubner, Peter and Williams, of Harford.

Also,

House bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Board of
Police Commissionirs of Baltimore city to increase the
pension of William H. Mills, a retired policeman of the
police force of Baltimore city."

Endorsed: "Read the third time, and passed by yeas
and nays."

Which was read the first time, and referred to Sena-
tors Bryan, Moses and Putzel.
