ported unfavorably,
Senate bill entitled "An Act to appropriate the sum of
$50,000 for the year 1900, and the sum of $50,000 for
the year 1901, to the John's Hopkins University."

Said bill was made the Special Order of the Day for
Wednesday, February 21st, at 1.30 P. M.
Mr. Crothers, from the Committee on Finance, report-
ed favorably, with proposed amendments,
Senate bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Mayor,
Counselor and Aldermen of the city of Annapolis to issue
bonds to the amount of one hundred and twenty-one
thousand dollars to pay off the present floating indebt-
edness of the city of Aiinapolis, and provide afund for
the permanent improvement of said city."
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
In section 2, strike out the word "school."
Which proposed amendment was adopted, and the bill
Was read the second time, and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.
Mr. Crothers, from the Committee on Finance, reported
unfavorably,
Senate bill entitled "An Act to make a State subscrip-
tion to a work entitled ‘First Citizen and Antilon—a
History of Governor Eden's Administration,' containing
the full text of the letters of Charles carroll of Carroll-
ton, and Daniel Dulany, in the controversy in 1770—1773,
arising upon the attempt of Governor Robert Eden to
revive, by proclamation, Acts of the Legislature that had
expired by limitation."
Which report was adopted.

Senate bill No. 22, entitled "An Act to provide for the
publication by the State Board ef Public Works of large
scale geographical and physical maps of Maryland for
use in the public schools of the State, and to make an ap-
propriation therefor."
