THURSDAY. Feb. 15th, 1900.

Senate met at 12 M.

Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Winstead.

Present at roll call the following Senators

Messrs. President, Applegarth, Baker, Beasmam, Betts,
Bouic, Brewington, Bryan, Crothers, Dennis, Dick, Dod-
son, Gray, Kirwan, Marsh, Messick, Moore, Moses, Peter,
Putzel, Ravenscroft, Rohrback, Wilkinson, Williams, of
Harford, Williams, of Anue Arundel—25.

The Journnl of Wednesday was rend and approved.



PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS
The President presented a petition from Rev. T. E.

Peters, and 60 other members of the Maryland Avenue
Methodist Church of Annapolis, protesting against any
change in the present Sunday law.

Also,

A petition from S. H. Reid, and 200 others, protesting
against any change in the Sunday law.

Also,

A petition from C. F. Cole and others, protesting
against any change in the present Sunday law.

Also,

A petition from clergymen representing various
churches and others, protesting against any change in
the present Sunday law.

Which were severally read and referred to the Com-
mittee on Tudicial Proceedings.

Mr. Bryan presented a petition from James L. Patti-
son and 715 others, asking for the passage of the General
Local Option Law.

Also,

A petition from Geo. H. Sheppard and 800 others, ask-
ing for the passage of the General Local Option Law.
