1900.] OF THE SENATE. 277 An Act to permit the United Railways and Electric Company, of Baltimore, to increase its Board of Direc- tors from the present number, to wit: nine (9) unto eleven (11), and to provide that of such number two (2) may be citizens and residents of States other than the State of Maryland. REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES. Mr. Bouic, from the Committee on Judicial Proceed- ings, reported favorably with proposed amendments, Senate bill No. 10, entitled "An Act to repeal and re- enact with amendments section 116, of Article 26, of the Code of Public General Laws, of Maryland, title ‘Chan- cery,' sub-title ‘ Partition.' AMENDMENTS PROPOSED. In line 33, of section 116, after the word "land," in- sert the words "persons holding." Strike out all of "section 2." Which proposed amendments were severally adopted, and the bill Was read the the second time. Pending further consideration of which, On motion of Mr. Williams, of Harford, Said bill was made the Special Order of the. Day for Wednesday, February 21st, at 12.15 P. NI. Mr. Bouic, from the Committee on Judicial Proceed- ings, reported favorably, with proposed amendment, Senate bill No. 34, entitled "An Act to repeal chapter 501, of the Actsof 1898, repealing section 146 D, of Art- icle 81, of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Revenue and Taxes,' and re-enacting said section 146 D, and to re-enact said chapter 501, ‘of the Acts of 1898, with amendments." AMENDMENT PROPOSED. After "that” on the 1st line of section 1, insert "chap- ter;" after "1898” and before the word "be” on second line of section 1, insert "repealing section 146 D, of Art- icle 81, of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, |
