President, Kirwan, Applegarth, Marsh, Baker, Messick, Betts, Moses, Bouic, Peter, Brewington, Putzel, Bryan, Ravenscroft, Crothers, Wilkinson, Dennis, Williams, of Har., Dick, Williams, of A. A., Dodson, —23. Gray, NEGATIVE—None. Mr. Bouic, from Committee on Judicial Proceedings, reported favorably, with proposed amendments, Senate bill No. 101, entitled "An Act to add a new sec- tion to Article 69, of the Code of Public General Laws, title ‘Officers,' to follow section 11, and to be known as ‘Section 12,'" AMENDMENT PROPOSED. Amend by striking out "1 per cent.," on lines 10 and 11 of section 1 of printed bill, and insert in lieu thereof the words "one-half of one per cent," Which proposed amendment was adopted and the bill was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. Mr Peter, from the Committee on Finance, reported favorably, with proposed amendment, the following or- der: Ordered, That the President be, and he hereby is au- thorized to appoint George Linthicum as keeper of the furnaces under the annex to the State House, at $5 per day, until the end of the present legislative session, and said per diem shall date from January 11th, 1900, the said George Linthicum having acted as said keeper of said furnaces during this time. AMENDMENT PROPOSED. That said pay be fixed at "$2.50 per day." Which proposed amendment was concurred in, and re- port adopted. |
