By Mr. Moses, A bill entitled "An Act to change the name of the Maryland Title Insurance and Trust Company, and to authorize an increase in the number of its Directors." Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES. Mr. Peter, from Committee ou Elections, reported with- out recommendation. Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 115, of Article 2, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title ‘Anne Arundel County, sub-title ‘County Commissioners,' as en- acted by chapter 118 of thc Acts of 1898, and to re-enact the same with amendments." On motion of Mr. Williams, of Anne Arundel, Said bill was referred to Senators Williams, of Anne Arundel, Peter and Wilkinson. Mr. Peter, from the Committee on elections, reported without recommeneation, A bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, sections 112, 112 A, 112 B and 113, of Article 2, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel County," sub-title "County Commissioners," so as to provide for the increase of the number of County Commissioners of Anne Arundel county from three to seven, and for the appointment by the Governor of the four County Commissioners to fill the vacancy caused by this Act to serve until time next general election, and providing for the termination of the terms of the County Commissioners elected at the general election of 1897, and the County Commissioners elected at the general election of 1899. On motion of Mr. Williams, of Anne Arundel, Said bill was referred to Senators Williams, of Anne Arundel, Peter and Wilkinson. |
