REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.
Mr. Bouic from the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, reported favorably, with proposed amendments,
A bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments, section 116, of Article 16, of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title ‘Chancery,' sub-
title ‘Partition.'"

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amend the original bill by striking out the words
"whether of the entirety or” on lines 33 and 34, in sec-
tion 116.

Which amendment was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Moses,
Said bill was recommitted to the Committee on Judi-
cial Proceedings.


REPORTS OF SELECT COMMITTEES.
Mr. Ravenscroft, from Select Committee, reported
favorably,
Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments, section 2, of chapter 36, of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the
January Session, 1898, relating to the creation of a new
Election district in Garrett county."
Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.
Also,
Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal chapter 341, of
the Acts of 1898, entitled ‘An Act to authorize the Gov-
ernor to appoint an additional Justice of the Peace for
the Ninth Election District, and also an additional Jus-
tice of the Peace for the Fourteenth Election District
of Garrett county,' and re-enact the same with amend-
ments."
Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
grossed for a third reading.
Mr. Williams, of Anne Arundel, from Select Committee,
reported favorably,
