A bill entitled "An Act to pay to John W. Marshall, of
Baltimore, assignee of Safe Deposit and Trust Company
of Baltimore, a certain sum of money, raid for account
of the State of Maryland."
Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Finance.
By Mr. Williams, of Anne Arundel,
A bill entitled "An Act to appropriate a sum of money
to the Anne Arundel County Academy, thereby render-
ing said academy more efficient and encouraging private
individuals to contribute to its support and endow-
ment."
Which was read the first time, and referred. to the
Committee on Finance.
Also,
A bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Mayor, Coun-
sellor and Aldermen of the city of Annapolis to issue
bonds to the amount of one hundred and twenty-one
thousand dollars, to pay off the present floating indebt-
edness of the city of Annapolis, and provide a fund for
the permanent improvement of said city."
Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Finance.

A bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 65, of Article
2, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title ‘Dorchester
County,' sub-title ‘Cambridge,' and to re-enact the same
with amendments, and to add to said section a sub-sec-
tion, to be designated "Sub-section A to section 65.'"
Which wae read the first time, and referred to Senators
Applegarth, Crothers and Kirwan.

A bill entitled "An Act for to enlarge and confirm the
powers and authority of Mt. St. Joseph's College of Bal-
timore county, incorporated under the general provisions
