the city of Baltimore, defining and prescribing the duties
thereof and regulating appointments, promotions, reduc-
tions in ranks, transfers in and removals from the police
force of said city; said sections to follow section 745,
and to be designated as "Sections 745 A, 745 B, 745 C,
745 D, 745 E and 745 F."

Mr. Bryan moved to suspend the Rules and put
Senate bill No. 2 entitled "An Act to repeal and re-
enact with amendments, sections 740 and 741, of Article
4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title ‘City of Balti-
more,' sub-title ‘Police Commissioners,' as said sections
were enacted by chapter 123 of the Acts of 1898, on its
third reading and final passage."
The Rules were suspended (two-thirds of the Senators
