AMENDMENT PROPOSED. -

Which proposed amendment was adopted, and
The order was adopted.
Also unfavorably, the following order:
Ordered, That all ejected and appointed employees of
the Senate who have not already received the same, be
allowed the sum of in lieu of postage and stationery.
Which report was adopted.
Also unfavorably, the following order:
Ordered, That the State Printer be and lie is hereby
directed to print one thousand extra copies of the Report
of the Maryland Bureau of Industrial Statistics, including
three hundred cloth bound copies, for the special use of
that department, at a cost not to exceed six hundred and
fifty dollars ($650.)
Which report was adopted.
Also favorably the following order:
Ordered, That James W. Owens be paid the sum of
$50 for services rendered the Finance Committee of the
Senate in drawing and preparing bills for introduction.
Which was adopted.
Also favorably the following order:
Ordered, That the Committee on Claims pay to James
F. Hayward, Gustav Fusch, S. G. Wilmer and Daniel H.
Nichols, Senate reporters, the sum of $150 each for ser-
vices rendered during the present session.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Applegarth, from Committee on Roads and High-
ways, reported favorably,
House bill entitled "An Act to prohibit Turnpike Com-
panies from charging toll on bicycles, tricycles or other
vehicles propelled by human muscle."
Mr. Applegarth moved that the Rules be suspended
and said bill put upon its final passage.
The Rules were suspended (two-thirds of the Senators
voting in the affirmative), by yeas and nays as follows:
