House bill eutitled "An Act to amend the charter of
and to grant certain additional powers and privileges to
the Hagerstown and Frederick Railway Company, a cor-
poration duly incorporated under and in accordance with
the provisions of Article 23 of the Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland, so as to confer upon said railway
company the right and power to use electricity as a mo-
tive power instead of steam, to charge such compensation
for hauling passengers, parcels, packages and freight as
the Board of Directors may from time to time determine,
and to borrow money, issue bonds and secure the pay-
ment of the same."

-and Ohio Railroad Company, to keep a flagman stationed
at the crossing of said railroad over the county road at
Monrovia, Frederick county."

At the end of section 1, add "provided that the County
Commissioners of Frederick county, shall deem such flag-
man necessary for the proper protection of life and prop-
erty at said crossing."
