Also returned, Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments, sections 43 and 51 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, 1898, chapter 123. being Article. 4 of the Code of Public Laws, title ‘Baltimore City,' sub-title "Charter,' relating to collection of taxes." Endorsed: "Amended, read the third time and passed by yeas and nays." AMENDMENT PROPOSED. In section 43, line 12 of engrossed bill, strike out all after the word "ground” to the words "the collector” on line 21, and insert in lieu thereof the following: "And to properly describe said property, the city sur- veyor shall actually survey and furnish to the city collec- tor a description and plat of each lot so in arrear, and the sum to be paid for each survey including the descrip- tion and plat shall be three dollars and fifty cents, said sum to be added to the tax bill and collected in the same manner as the bill itself." The Senate concurred in the proposed amendment. The bill, as amended, was passed by yeas and follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs.
