Which was read the second time. Also favorably, with proposed amendments, House bill entitled "An Act to incorporate the Hagers- town Fidelity Company." AMENDMENTS PROPOSED. Strike out the letter "B” after the word "Samuel” in line 2, section 1, and insert in lieu thereof the letter "H." At the end of section 1, add the following: "The office of this corporation shall be located in Washington county, Maryland." Which proposed amendments were severally adopted, and The bill was read the second time. House bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 2 of chapter 461 of the Acts of 1898, entitled an Act to incor- porate the Central States Banking and Trust Company,. a-nd to re-enact the same with amendments, and also to further amend the chapter of said Central States Bank- ing and Trust Company, providing for the change of name of said corporation and the number of its directors, and the election of a treasurer." Which was read the second time. Also favorably, with proposed amendment, House bill entitled "An Act to incorporate the Western Maryland Trust Company." AMENDMENTS PROPOSED. Strike out all after the word "business,' in line 22, section 1, and insert in lieu thereof the following: "In the city of Baltimore and elsewhere, said company, how- ever, not to do business and not to carry on its opera tions in Washington nor Frederick counties, Md." Strike out the figures "278” in line 4, section 17, and in- ert in lieu thereof the figures "279." |
