Committee on Corporations.
By Mr. Wilkinson.
A bill entitled "An Act to provide for copying and
recording the marriage records in clerk's office of St.
Mary's county, from 1794 to 1864."
Which was read the first time, and referred to Sena-
tors Wilkinson, Gray and Dodson.
Also,
A bill entitled "An Act to grant the sanction and con-
sent of the General Assembly of Maryland to the bequest
of James F. Abell, late of St. Mary's county, deceased, to
‘Our Lady's Chapel, St. Mary's County, Maryland.'"
Which was read the first time, and- referred to the
Committee on Judicial Proceedings.
By Mr. Williams, of Anne Arundel,
A bill entitled "An Act to alter and amend the charter,
change the name, and grant other additional power to the
stockholders of the Anne Arundel County Academy, a
corporation, incorporated by the General Assembly of
Maryland. by the Act of 1856, chapter 238."
Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Williams, Moses and Applegarth.


REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.
Mr. Crothers, from the Committee on Finance, reported
unfavorably,
Senate bill No. 48, entitled "An Act for the relief of
the Hagerstown Seminery."
Which report was adopted.
Also, unfavorably,
Senate bill No. 51, entitled "An Act to provide for the
payment to the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore of
all money received for licenses by the Clerk of the Court
of Common Pleas in the city of Baltimore."
Pending consideration of which, On motion of Mr. Bryan,
Said bill was made the special Order of the Day for
Wednesday, January 31st, at 12.30 P. NI.
