THURSDAY, Jan. 25, 1900.
Senate met at 11 A. M.

Prayer by Rev. Mr. Sutherland.

Present at roll call the following Senators:

Messrs. President, Applegarth, Baker, Betts, Bouic,
Brewington, Bryan, Crothers, Dennis, Dick, Dodson,
Gray, Kirwan, Marsh, Messick, Moore, Moses, Peter,
Putzel, Ravenscroft, Rohrback, Wilkinson, Williams, of
Harford, Williams of Anne Arundel—24.
The Journal of Wednesday was read and approved.


PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.
Mr. Applegarth presented a memorial and a petition
from the mayor, citizens and property-holders of Cam-
bridge, Dorchester county.
Which was read and referred to Senators Applegarth,
Brewington and Crothers.
Mr. Rohrback presented a petition from Louis M.
Nixdorf and 159 other citizens of Frederick county, ask-
ing for an appropriation for the establishment and main-
tenance of a hospital at Frederick city.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Finance.
