the Hagerstown and Frederick Railway Company, a cor-
poration duly incorporated under and in accordance with
the provisions of Article 23 of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws of Maryland, so as to confer upon said railway
company the right and power to use electricity as a
motive power instead of steam; to charge such compen-
sation for hauling passengers, parcels, packages and
freight as the Board of Directors may from time to time
determine, and to borrow money, issue bonds and secure
the payment of the same."

and nays."
Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 696 of
Article 4 of the Public Local Laws of the Maryland Code,
entitled ‘City of Baltimore,' sub-title ‘Mortgages."
