House bill entitled "An Act to require all turnpike
companies or other toll roads to keep a bright light
thrown upon their toll bars or gates when down during
any hours of darkness."
Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by yeas
and nays."
Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.
Also,
House bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore to issue its certificates of stock
to an amount not exceeding $5,000,000 for the purpose
of providing the money to pay, at the time of doing the
work, the portion and the costs and expenses of grading,
paving and curbing the streets, lanes and alleys of the
city of Baltimore, assessable upon the property benefitted
thereby and for the reimbursement of the city of Balti-
more in respect thereto out of the money derived from
said assessments."
