Maryland. I have the honor to be,

Clerk of the Court of ‘Appeals of Maryland.
To the Honorable, the General Assembly of Maryland:
In compliance with the requirements of section 4, of
Article 78, of the Code of Public General Laws of Mary-
land, I beg leave respectfullyto report, that by virtue of
the authority vested in me as Clerk of the Court of
Appeals of Maryland, by the provisions of the aforesaid
Article 78 of the Code of Public General Laws of Mary-
land, I did insert the following advertisement for pro-
posals for the State printing for ten successive days,
beginning on the 11th day of August, 1899, in "The
sun," "The Baltimore American," and "The Baltimore
Journal” (published in the German language) three daily
newspapers published in the city of Baltimore, and for
three successive weeks prior to the 26th day of Septem-
ber, 1899, in "The Anne Arundel Examiner," and "The
Advertiser," two weekly newspapers published in the
city of Annapolis, to-wit:
PROPOSALS FOR THE STATE PRINTING.
The undersigned, in pursuance of Article 78 of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, will receive sealed
propesals at the office of the Clerk of the Court of Appeals
of Maryland, in the city of Annapolis, on or before Tues-
day, the 26th day of September, 1899, for the printing of
the General Assembly of Maryland, at the ensuing session
of 1900, of the following as prescribed in said Article 78
of said Code of Public General Laws of Maryland:
"Four thousand copies of the Governor's message in
English; five hundred copies of the Governor's message
in German; three thousand copies of the reports of the
Comptroller of the Treasury; one thousand copies of the
reports of the State Treasurer; one thousand copies of
the reports of the Adjutant General; two thousand
copies of the School Reports; one thousand copies of the
reports of the Insurance Commissioner; one thousand
copies of the reports of the Commissioner of the Land.
Office; two thousand copies of the reports of the
State Board of Health; two thousand copies of reports
