On motion of Mr. Williams, it was Ordered, That Senate bill No. 487, be not printed it. being printed No. 279, House file. Which was adopted. Senate bill No. 226, entitled "An Act to repeal sections 232 A and 232 F of Article 23 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title ‘Corporations,' sub-title 'Telegraph and Telephone Companies,' as enacted by the Act of 1892, chapter 387, and the Act of 1894, chapter 207, respectively, and to re-enact said section 232 A with amendments." Being on its second reading, Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed. for a third reading. REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES. Mr. Crothers, from Committee on Finance, reported. unfavorably, Senate Joint Resolution for the publication of the General Local Laws of January Session, 1900. Which report was adopted. Also, favorably, House bill entitled "An Act to repeal sections 232, 233 and 234 of Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title ‘City of Baltimore' sub-title ‘Miscellaneous Local Laws,' as enacted by chapter 123 of the Acts of 1898." Which was read the second time. Also, favorably, the following order: Ordered, That Frank H. Bently, messenger to the pub- lic printer, be paid the sum of $2.50 per day additional, from Jan. 3rd. 1900, so as to make his pay for the session $5 per day, as heretofore paid the messenger to the pub- lic printer. Which was adopted. |
