House bi'l entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 19 of Article 77 of the Code of Pub- lic General Laws, title ‘Public Education.' Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Marsh, Applegarth, Messick, Baker, Peter, Brewington, Putzel, Bryan, Rohrback, Crothers, Wilkinson, Dennis, Williams, of Har., Kirwan, —15. NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. • House bill entitled "An Act to repeal the 44th section of Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary- land, title ‘Baltimore County,' sub-title ‘County Treas- urer,' and to re-enact the same with amendments." Being on its third reading, The following amendments were proposed by Mr. Williams, of Harford. AMENDMENTS PROPOSED. In line 4 of engrossed bill strike out the words "so as to read as follows." After the title of the bill insert the following words: "Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the forty-fourth section of Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title ‘Balti- more County,' sub-title ‘County Treasurer,' be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows: In line 6 of engrossed bill strike out the word ‘section,' and insert the words "and be it enacted." |
