Which was read the second times Mr. Beasman, from Select Committee, reported favor- ably, House bill entitled "An Act to authorize and empower the County Commissioners of Carroll county to adjust and settle the accounts of Wm. W. Smiser, late collector of county taxes, of Carroll county. Which was read the second time. Also, favorably, House bill entitled "An Act to authorize and empower time Mayor and Common Council of Westminster to con- tract with the Westminster Fire Engine and Hose Com- pany No. 1, of Westminster, a body corporate, for its aid in time suppression of fires in the corporate limits of the city of Westminster."
