sembly, passed at the adjourned May Session, 1836,
thereof, chapter 382, entitled ‘a supplement to the Act
to incorporate the George's Creek Mining Company
(whereby amongst other things the name of the said
company was changed to the name of the George's Creek
Coal and Irou Company), by adding certain additional
sections thereto enlarging the corporate powers of said
company and providing for the appointment of a vice-
president for said company."
Which was read the second time.
Also favorably, with proposed amendments,
House bill entitled "An Act to amend the charter of
the Baltimore Mutual Aid Society of Baltimore city, a
corporation incorporated under the General Law s of this
State, and the charter of which was amended by the Act
of the General Assembly of the session of 1S98, chapter
61, by changing the corporate name of said corporation
to the Baltimore Mutual Life Insurance Company of Ba]-
timore city."
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

After the word "Baltimore," in section 1, line 5, strike
out the word "Mutual."
Amend title, on line 5, by striking out the word
"Mutual” after the word "Baltimore."
Which proposed amendments were severally adopted,
and
The bill was read the second time.
Also favorably,
House bill entitled "An Act to extend the privileges,
enlarge the powers and amend the charter of the West-
minster Water Company of Westminster, Maryland, a
corporation duly incorporated under the General Laws
of this State."
Which was read the second time.
Mr. Beasman, from Committee on Inspections, reported
favorably,
Senate bill No. 246, entitled "An Act to repeal sections
88, 89, 90 and 91, of Article 27, Code of Public General
Laws, title ‘Crimes and Punishments,' sub-title ‘Fraud—
Butter, Oleomargarine,' and to re-enact the same with
amendments, so as to read as follows.'
