102 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 24 WEDNESDAY, Jany. 24th, 1900. Senate met at 12 M. Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Southerland. Present at roll call the following Senators Messrs. President, Applegarth, Baker, Betts, Bouic, Brewington, Bryan, Crothers, Dennis, Dick, Gray, Kir- wan, Marsh, Messick, Moore, Moses, Peter, Putzel, Ravens- croft, Rohrback, Williams, of Harford, Williams, of Anne Arundel —22. The Journal of Tuesday was read and approved. PETITIONS. MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS. President Hubner presented a petition from citizens of Catonsville to regulate the speed of electric cars run- ning through the town of Catonsville. Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corporations. 3RDERS. On motion of Mr. Moses, it was Ordered, That Senators Beasman and Wilkinson be excused from attendance upon to-day's session on account of sickness. On motion of Mr Bouic it was Ordered, That the President of the Senate appoint a new and additional Committee, to be known as the Com- mittee on Local Legislation, to which all local bills shall be referred." Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Rules. On motion of Mr. Williams, of Anne Arundel, it was Ordered, Thgt the President of the Senate be re- quested to appoint a Committee on Fish and Game Laws, to consist of five members, to be a standing committee |
