The Senate resumed session at 8 P. M.

The Senate considered unfinished business, being
REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.
Mr. Orothers, from Committee on Finance, reported
unfavorably,
Senote bill No. 91, entitled "An Act to repeal section
126, of Article 23, of the Public General Laws of Mary-
land, title ‘Corporations,' sub-title ‘Insurance Depart-
ment,' as amended by the Act of the General Assembly
of 1894, chapter 290, and to re-enact the same, that is to
say, said section of said Article and said Act of 1894,
chapter 290, with amendments."
Which report was adopted.
Also unfavorably,
Senate bill No. 271, entitled "An Act to appropriate
the sum of twenty-eight thousand, one hundred and thir-
ty-three dollars and ten cents ($28,133.10), with interest
from July 21st, 1898, to pay the claim of Benjamin F.
Bennett for remodeling and repairing for use as an ar-
mory for the Fourth Regiment, Maryland National
Guard, the building formerly known as the Western Fe-
male High School, situate on West Fayette street, in the
city of Baltimore, near Paca street."
